Food is absolutely amazing!! I had to have the octopus salad, the warm goat cheese and the meatballs... WOW! Incredible!!! Then onto the entree of the pasta tossed in cheese wheel, topped with crab meat!!! Again, just AMAZING!! The service by our female waitress was exceptional!! She had such a great, fun personality and the whole experience complete! The dining room was very nice, located inside a quant hotel.. I go thru San Antonio for work, and this will be a must stop again... end of the month!! I can't wait to go back! It's a MUST visit if you love authentic Italian! Truly incredible food from start to finish!

First day in San Antonio we came to Nonna .... My family loves Italian food so we had to try this place out I made reservations weeks ago but it was not busy at all that evening. It's recommended though The food was amazing. The two pizzas we got were delicious. The arancini was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The meatballs were a hit by the kids ..the pappardelle pasta I ordered was mouthwatering good. The bread cubes they served us with shaved Parmesan and olive tapenade was addicting. Overall a great place to have lunch or dinner when in San Antonio. The ambiance is great so is the customer service. I highly recommend it. Easily walkable down the Riverwalk.

A casual fine dining restaurant on the outskirts of San Antonio Riverwalk with that "in the heart of Italy" feel! ATMOSPHERE: It inside of a nice hotel. It's not super formal or fine dining, so don't feel the need to dress up. But looking put together will make the experience more fun! I love the layout, it's a small restaurant without feeling stuffy. You can see the kitchen and chefs from every table & I really love how it makes the dining experience feel personal. Prices are totally fair, bill for two people getting drinks and an app was $61 with tip. Not bad for a restaurant like this! FOOD: Oh. my. god. Everything here top to bottom was fan-freaking-tastic. They have a food and wine specialist on staff and he told us that himself and the cook (both from Italy) helped create the menu and dishes and it SHOWS! We started with a stellar Moscato and I got the caprese as an appetizer. I pretty much get caprese at every Italian restaurant I go to and this one was significantly better than any I had before. The pesto was so fresh and the mozzarella was fried to perfection. We also split a regular cheese pizza and it was delicious! All the bread (including the bread they give you on the table) and pasta is made in house & you can tell! The quality here is EXCELLENT. SERVICE: The staff here is exceptional. It's a smaller, casual fine dining restaurant so they really care about your dining experience from beverage to closing the tab. They really take the time to guide that experience with their recommendations and answering of questions.

Jeremy and his team provided excellent service. I was hot and tired when I entered but quickly became cool and comfortable in this environment. I came for the truffle wheel pasta but ended up getting 'staff favorites': The best caprese ever - made with fried mozzarella on a perfect bed of balsamic and pesto, with shreds and whole leaves of basil, with perfectly flavorful heirloom tomatoes! My Cod was ok. I didn't care for the nut butter or vegetables but it sufficed to satisfy. Prosecco was a perfect compliment to the meal and ending with ice cream was nice. The bathroom visit provided me with historic details of hotel that holds this restaurant. I love that they preserved it and literraly rolled it to its current location. Thanks again to Jeremy. God bless! +JMJ+

We were in town for lunch and my daughter and her husband wanted to give this place a try. We arrived early and we were the first table of the day. Our server was Jose and he was great. My daughter order a very expensive pasta and it was prepared table side and loved it. She made it disappear and said it was worth every penny. I ordered the spicy pizza and it was also great. If you are looking for a very nice lunch or dinner and don't mind that it is a little pricey this is a great place to come.

Needed to grab a bite during the late evening and found myself discovering Nonna Osteria was open until 10pm which was perfect since I had an hour until they closed. The main entrance of the restaurant is within the hotel at this hour. As you bypass their wine collection, you'll see an open kitchen with a full glass wall overlooking the plaza and Hemisfair. Once seated you'll be served olive tapenade with bread diced into cubes. Perfect nosh before you begin ordering from the menu. Ask your server for a wine recommendation and give them your preferred nodes and they'll help you find the perfect glass. I opted for the burrata as my appetizer and it was a baked dish served warm. Paired with a few pieces of buttered bread this dish was oozing with flavor and taste. I also had it packaged to go and it still tasted just as great at the hotel. My pasta dish for the evening was their bolognese and it was served classic. This was so good and the noodles were done perfectly. I would highly recommend this dish. A bit more on the pricier end but when you're in need of a meal at this hour I will gladly have Nonna any day (or night).

Nonna Osteria actually succeeded our expectations. The food is incredibly delicious, the ambient has a very cool vibe, their wine exhibition is fantastic and the service is actually very very good... Jeffrey was the best!!! 100% Recommend!

My mother-in-law and I came here for lunch when we were in town for a conference and it was a wonderful meal. Service was great - attentive and quick. I ordered the Pappardelle Al Cinghiale: the meat was flavorful and the pasta had the perfect texture. I remember wishing that the pappardelle had been soaked in that sauce rather than served on top just for the extra flavor absorption, but it was still very good. My mother-in-law ordered the gnocchi, which were delightfully fluffy. Portions were very generous, which I always appreciate. We enjoyed it and would return to try the rest of the menu.

I felt Like I was back home in the Rocky Mountains of Italy and conversing with my friends michaliangelo and Donatello and we were sharing an amazing meal and convo about life. Great vibe
